Sonya Ramirez – Registered Dental Hygienist

Sonya has been a member of the team at Pineland Family Dentistry from the start.

She provides dental hygiene services to the children and adults in our practice and is a 2011 graduate of the University of New England with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Before she completed her hygiene studies she worked at the front desk as well as assisted Dr. Goding in the delivery of dental care.

Sonya’s favorite part of working at Pineland Family Dentistry is the coziness of the office. Working with Dr. Goding and a small staff of dedicated team members makes the office a tight-knit family. She also has the best view in the office as she can see Mount Washington from her hygiene room all year round. The office is state of the art on the beautiful campus of Pineland Farms.

Sonya strives to create a professional yet friendly relationship with all her patients. She loves to pass on her dental knowledge while working with patients to fit optimal oral hygiene into their busy lifestyles.

Sonya is originally from Chicago, but has spent most of her life in Maine. She has become quite the outdoorsy type, thanks to her husband Zachery. Zach is a proud member of the Portland Police Department. Sonya’s interests include; boating on Sebago Lake, hunting in the North Maine woods, ice fishing and snowshoeing in the winter.

Her most favorite activity though is spending time with her family and dog Gracie.
